Foundation team members Fide visited Washington, DC this past June to present lThe conclusions reached at the 2022 Oxford Congress, which focused on populisms, inequalities and economic growth from a European perspective. During the trip, the team had the opportunity to meet with prestigious law firms such as Uría Menéndez, Cuatrecasas, BDO or Pérez Llorca, in addition to consultants, entities and institutions such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, Meta or the International Monetary Fund, among others. These meetings allowed for the exchange of ideas and perspectives on relevant legal issues, addressing the main challenges facing investors in the current global landscape, as well as the opportunities to work together in the future. It was a privilege to learn from experts in the financial and legal fields and to strengthen our connections with these leaders in the United States.
Also visited the Embassy of Spain in Washington, DC, and talked with Santiago Cabanas, current ambassador of Spain in Washington, on the main areas of action in which Fide you can perform there. During the visit, we met with several colleagues from the World Bank Group, where we were able to share the work we are doing in the economic, legal, technological and financial areas. We also held a seminar under the direction of William Maloney, Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean, in which Jorge Padilla, President of the International USA Phone Number Academic Council shared with several experts the conclusions of our last oxford report and we hear first-hand the perspectives of these key players in the global economy. On the last day of our trip, Fide organized a special dinner, bringing together various professionals, as well as journalists, diplomats and friends of the Spanish community in Washington, DC During it we had the opportunity to listen to the interventions of Jorge Padilla, president of the international academic council of Fide and its most prominent members in Washington, Eva Gutierrez and in New York, Jesús Saracho.
It was a remarkable meeting in which we presented the mission of Fide and we discussed the opportunities for future work and joint collaborations. The evening included a toast symbolizing our shared commitment to driving positive change in the legal and business arena. We raise our glasses in gratitude to our partners for their support and reaffirming our dedication to forging high-impact partnerships. The event was a Resounding the conclusions of our last oxford report and we hear first-hand the perspectives of these key players in the global economy.
