Air taxi production plant German air taxi and urban air mobility (UAM) development company Volocopter has announced the opening of its production facility in Bruchsal. The company also opened a new hangar that will house the company's final assembly line with an airfield for development flight testing and quality checks. All company-owned production sites, which will manufacture the first EASA-certified electric air taxis , are scheduled to become fully operational by the end of this month. In , Volocopter obtained the green light from EASA for its production process covering everything from the manufacturing of carbon fiber parts, all aspects of the electric propulsion unit and final assembly with the pro C Level Executive List pulsion system cover and the fuselage, until the extensive finale of Online Flight Tests. After approval, it took months to put everything in place.
